Polished Concrete – Wales

Concrete Polishing were approached by a client that was looking for a polished concrete floor at their holiday home in Wales. The area in question was the entrance hall to their home. They were therefore looking for a flooring option that was slip-resistant and easily maintainable. And of course aesthetically pleasing. Polished concrete fulfilled all the client’s objectives and more. The property had many quirky features, therefore polished concrete was in fitting with the rest of the decoration.

The client had chosen an Exposed Aggregate Finish. This type of finish is where the aggregate is exposed. The floor was an existing concrete floor. Therefore, to begin contractors had to heavily grind the floor, in order to expose the aggregate. This involved several stages of grinding by contractors. Once the grinding stages were complete, contractors could therefore begin to mechanically diamond polish the floor. Again, contractors also completed several stages. Contractors then reached a suitable gloss level.  Lastly, contractors can then apply a sealer to the area. This will help with slip resistance, an objective of the clients. The final result is a perfectly flat, smooth, slip resistant polished concrete floor. Finally, the process carried out by contractors was the Husqvarna HIPERFLOOR® system and tooling.

As you can see, the polished concrete floor in Wales was exceptional! Our client’s expectations were exceeded. Another fantastic project completed by Concrete Polishing.
