Concrete Polishing Wins 1st Place at the PICS Golden Trowel Awards.

Concrete Polishing is proud to announce that we have won 1st place in the Domestic Category at the PICS 2025 Golden Trowel Awards. One of the most prestigious recognitions in the decorative concrete industry.

The awards, organised by PICS UK, celebrate the craftsmanship demonstrated by professionals working in decorative and polished concrete across the UK. Winning this award highlights the quality and creativity that our teams at Concrete Polishing bring to every project.

Award – Winning Decorative Concrete Project in Cambridgeshire

Our Award Winning Project was completed by our teams at a high-end residential property in Cambridgeshire. Our client was wanting to create modern outdoor living space. Contractors achieved the results using a decorative concrete finish. Additionally, a durable, contemporary aesthetic was created throughout.

The results were fantastic! Featuring multiple bespoke concrete elements, all finished in a light grey decorative concrete surface that tied the entire outdoor area together.

This project demonstrates how a cementitious overlay and decorative a concrete finish can transform residential outdoor spaces. While maintaining long-term durability and low maintenance.

Decorative Concrete Installation and Features

The works included the installation of a cementitious overlay with a light grey colour surface hardener, creating a durable and visually striking bespoke concrete finish.

Key features of the project included:

A hand-crafted barbecue and seating area
Swimming pool coping with a clean, modern finish
Large decorative paved areas
Custom concrete steps
A striking floating bridge across a feature pool

Contractors finished all elements in a light grey polished concrete surface, additionally creating a striking design that complemented the surrounding landscape.
