Award Winning Polished Concrete Flooring – Jersey Design awards 2024.

Winner of “Best large scale New build” award at the Jersey Design Awards 2024.

Concrete Polishing were given the opportunity to supply, place and polish the polished concrete flooring at this newly constructed residence. The property replaces a former farm complex. Which included the original farmhouse and several outbuildings.

Our client was wanting to use natural materials to keep in line with former roots of the build. With that in mind polished concrete was therefore a perfect choice.

Polished concrete is classed as a “green” flooring choice, due to concrete deriving from rock and raw materials therefore found naturally on earth. The concrete is placed and polished using diamond tooling to create the desired aesthetic, no other materials is used. The sustainability of polished concrete is excellent and with basic maintenance polished concrete flooring can last 15 years and beyond.

For this particular project our client opted for a rustic style finish with a rustic sandstone colour, this complimented the overall aesthetics perfectly and created a rustic, relaxed feeling in keeping with the original character of the property.
